Marketing & Content Assistant

Full Time Role

Location: London (nearest tube: Oxford Street)

Start-date: January 2020

Salary: 21k


We are looking for a Marketing & Content Assistant to join our small but very busy media business! We launched earlier this year and have quickly acquired a broad range of clients. This role requires someone who can help with all our admin, client work, as well as our own marketing, PR and business development.


As we are a start-up, we are looking for someone driven, organised, ambitious, enthusiastic and that can take their own initiative. No day is the same and we are very much in growth phase, meaning the opportunities for the right person are big but there’s also a genuine need to think outside of the box on a daily basis. 


Ultimately, your goal will be to assist the Head of Marketing and Head of Content to ensure a smooth work flow in our business.




Zena Media Admin & Marketing

  • Powerpoint presentations for meetings and pitches

  • Organising conference & event passes

  • Booking meeting rooms & co-ordinating client meetings

  • Assisting with Social media 

  • Running Zena Media's editorial calendar 

  • Writing a monthly newsletter

  • Writing a weekly blog post

Client Work

This is where the role will vary and also mean that sometimes we are busier than others. Here are some examples of what you would be doing:

Content and PR 

  • Drafting press releases

  • Drafting video & podcast scripts

  • Sourcing guests for video or podcast series or events

  • Sourcing locations & venues for shoots

  • Overseeing editing

  • Sourcing panelists, influencers & speakers


  • Producing event calendars

  • Sourcing influencers for campaigns

  • Setting up all analytics & tracking links

  • Reporting on campaign results

  • Email campaign execution


Technical skills needed

  • Excellent English is a must

  • Comfortable with the Microsoft office pack is a must 

  • Being able to use wix, world press, mailchimp, hootsuite is a plus 

  • SEO and PPC knowledge is a plus

  • Basic video editing skills would be a bonus but not a must
